Hey there, welcome to my blog. Last week, we talked about Cantonese cuisine which I am gonna introduce more this week. For you who are the dim sum lovers, this week I’d like to show you where you can eat authentic dim sum in Manhattan. With no surprise, most of the decent Cantonese restaurants are located in Chinatown. By the way, Chinatown is actually a Cantonese people inhabited area where you could find numerous Cantonese dishes. However, if you want to taste different kinds of Chinese food, I highly recommend you to go to Flushing, New York. It’s no surprise that you will find yourself in the paradise of Chinese food. One more thing, if you find any on-street Chinese barbecue, be sure to have a try. It won’t disappoint you.
Ok, now back to our topic. There are two Cantonese restaurants I’d like to introduce to you.
1. Golden Unicorn ——— 18 E Broadway,New York, NY 10002
It is where I went with Irene last weekend, and is my favorite Cantonese restaurant in NYC, serving over a hundred kinds of authentic dim sum. The dim sum items are pre-cooked in advance in the kitchen and are brought out into the dining area in pushable trolleys by restaurant employees. They will call out the items they are carrying. You can easily pick up what you want. What’s more, they also serve delicious menu items if you want to try the other dishes. Their roast duck is just awesome.
2. Nam Wah Tea Parlor ———13 Doyers St,New York, NY 10013

This restaurant is unreasonably popular among both Chinese people and non-Chinese people. The waiting line will drive you crazy if you go there for dinner on the weekend. If you want to eat there, you may want to avoid the rush hour.
Last but not least, I’d like to show you what I am bound to order every time I eat dim sum 🙂
Shrimp dumplings (Xia-jiao)
Nibbles of port rib
Steam rice roll
That’s all for the blog. Please comment and tell me how do you like it. Thank you! see you next time.
